Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

By convention it's central Europe 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe think about the Austro-Hungarian empire, it extended much farther East than west of Vienna and also think about how far west the Ottoman Empire extended.. basically to Vienna's doorstep. So I guess it made sense to differentiate those empires from, say, France and Belgium.

My rent for a large loft in the 5th was 1280€, what are you talking about? And there are absolutely cheaper options I could have gone for. Also, there are plenty of villages and smaller cities with cheap rent. Paris isnt the only place to live in France. The only thing about that comment I disagree with is healthcare - unless OP plans on scamming the system, which I don't condone.

In London now. Toronto and France next month, planning a Bosnia/Serbia/Bulgaria trip for October, Mexico in Nov, Tanzania/Kenya in Dec, planning Austria/CH for ski in Jan/Feb. Got Epic and IKON passes so a lot of mountains in those countries plus maybe Chamonix. I have a job. It pays me money. Am a software exec. Easy gig - need to work 20+ years in the SF Bay Area and everything is cake after that.

$1,000–$1,500 a month is only “cheap” when viewed from the perspective of high-income countries like Switzerland, the US, or the UK. In France, for example, a nurse or teacher might earn around €2,000 a month, meaning that kind of rent can already consume more than half their salary. Calling these rents “low” without considering local wages is misleading and can come across as condescending. They may be low for a digital nomad earning a foreign salary, but affordability should be assessed against local incomes and purchasing power. I also wish we wouldn’t normalize rents at these levels when salaries clearly aren’t keeping pace. The rent-to-income ratio is getting worse, and describing increasingly unaffordable housing as “cheap” only obscures that problem.

Portugal, Spain. Places like England, France, Netherlands are gonna be harder. Eastern Europe you have Albania, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, etc. Hungary might be slightly expensive. Greece could work, as would southern Italy
