   You agree with my statement as to the reason Hezbollah formed. Fine. Israel invaded Lebanon as a continuation of its attempt to drive the Palestinians from their homeland. More significantly, the invasion was a blatant Israeli aggression, as any honest reading of the history of the lead-up to the invasion will tell you. There was a cease fire in place, the Israelis bombed Beirut and the Palestinians retaliated by rockets and the Israelis invaded. This is the normal Israeli pattern of aggression we have known from before the state was founded — they attack to solicit a response and then use the response to justify a much wider attack. As for the war on Iran, it is yet another example of unprovoked Israeli (and American) aggression, so Hezbollah was perfectly within their rights to join in support of Iran, just like the Houthis.

   Israel only aggressed and occupied Lebanon because they were doing nothing about palestinian terrorists launching attacks against Israel... But regardless, you're still describing "not passive". Hezbollah doesn't defend anything, they attack Israel, primarily at behest of their Iranian masters, not with the interests of Lebanon being considered.
