Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

    > You agree with my statement as to the reason Hezbollah formed Sure. Things happen in response to other things. Israel didn't just attack out of nowhere. > Israel invaded Lebanon as a continuation of its attempt to drive the Palestinians from their homeland. Yeah, like that part where they gave Palestine semi-autonomy, something Egypt and Jordan never did...like that part where Israel forced all Jews out of Gaza so that Gaza could self-govern... Yeah, okay buddy. > There was a cease fire in place, the Israelis bombed Beirut and the Palestinians retaliated by rockets and the Israelis invaded. This ignores all the attacks from the PLO at the Lebanese border over that period. This just goes back and forth. Both sides have fucked up a bunch, but its absolutely retarded to pretend Israel is just sitting around and going "who should we kill today?". > Hezbollah was perfectly within their rights to join in support of Iran, just like the Houthis. I didn't say they aren't. Israel was within their rights to attack Iran, and Hezbollah was within their rights to attack Israel, and Israel was within their rights to strike back against Hezbollah. But they don't get to cry about Israel then attacking them. But they don't care about Lebanese, or Iranian people, they want the death.

    >The only meaningful one I can find that is Israel as the aggressor is the "preemptive" invasion of Egypt. You need to stop reading Israeli accounts and start reading history. >Egypt controlled Gaza from 1948-1967. Jordan controlled the West Bank during that same period. It was "Israeli Aggression" that kicked them out... OK. So we agree that 1967 was Israeli aggression. If you dig under any clash between Israel and its neighbours or occupied subjects you will find Israeli (and previously Zionist) aggression. The only case in which this was arguably not the case is the 1973 war, where Syria and Egypt attempted to recover their lost territory — an act which is considered justified per international law. You should not be trying to justify the act of a rogue, genocidal, apartheid state without getting a lot more knowledge under your belt. This is all well document.

Bombing Beirut and later invading, ethnically cleansing and destroying almost every building in almost every Shiite village they occupied in south Lebanon are war crimes and a continuation of the standard Israeli genocidal tactics. >Should they just sit around and do nothing? Israel has no peace strategy and continues its expansionist, genocidal policies. The only advice I can have for it is to stop its crimes and try to live with its neighbours instead of seeking to dominate the region by military force so it can expand its territory.

You agree with my statement as to the reason Hezbollah formed. Fine. Israel invaded Lebanon as a continuation of its attempt to drive the Palestinians from their homeland. More significantly, the invasion was a blatant Israeli aggression, as any honest reading of the history of the lead-up to the invasion will tell you. There was a cease fire in place, the Israelis bombed Beirut and the Palestinians retaliated by rockets and the Israelis invaded. This is the normal Israeli pattern of aggression we have known from before the state was founded — they attack to solicit a response and then use the response to justify a much wider attack. As for the war on Iran, it is yet another example of unprovoked Israeli (and American) aggression, so Hezbollah was perfectly within their rights to join in support of Iran, just like the Houthis.

    > There are very few cases of violence with Israeli involvement where Israel is not the aggressor. The only meaningful one I can find that is Israel as the aggressor is the "preemptive" invasion of Egypt. The list of conflicts is LONG and pretty much always involves Israel being attacked first. > The ongoing, continuous violence and occupation in Palestine from 1947 to this day What are you talking about? Egypt controlled Gaza from 1948-1967. Jordan controlled the West Bank during that same period. It was "Israeli Aggression" that kicked them out... Like at least get basic facts correct... Tons of issues with Israels actions, but this is just revisionist.
