   The rules should absolutely be enforced more strictly and constantly imo... I'd personally go zero tolerance. But the way these all work is something like that isn't likely to happen consistently due to Ryanair more often than not, not directly employing the crew on the ground (Menzies etc) What does it matter if the rules are "heavy handed" as you claim. Short of physical assault, I have no problem whatsoever with how they enforce the clearly stated rules. It's people who complain "oh I've used this bag loads and never been charged before" or similar nonsense. You fly with a compliant bag, then you've a stress free and nothing to worry about trip

   All airlines enforce baggage dimensions, but not all are heavy-handed about it. Ryanair flights aren't always cheap, and the low fares only stay low if you're flexible on dates and travel with nothing more than a small backpack. That's how Ryanair can advertise such low prices: the free personal item is technically included, but for most travellers it isn't realistic. It's also why the priority queue is always far longer than the regular one, and why overhead space tends to run out. I fly Ryanair a lot because it's convenient, but I haven't seen this level of rigidity in a while. Hence the post.

   And it's so like literally like you have no way of knowing what Ryanair's regulations are. There's like literally no way I can understand whether I may bring my 500kg treasure chest of lead fishing weights without being charged. This unpredictability causes me bladder spasms of distress, meaning that Ryanair is like literally responsible for me wetting my pants over this important matter. BECAUSE I AM A MAD GENIUS, I CONCOCTED THIS CLEVER GAMBIT. Weigh your luggage before departing for the aeroporto. If it is under the weight allowance, you won't be charged, unless you spend fifty quid on bottled water at the airport in Puddingshire and bring it in your carryon. If it is above the weight allowance, you will quite possibly be charged. If you are above the limit and don't get charged, it is good fortune, not entitlement. I'm like so fucking geniusly.    Well, look at Ryanair's CEO. He's ruthless with money and yes, apparently there are incentives for staff to charge for baggage outside allowance. I don't like the vibe at all. I also detest the colour scheme and I try to avoid Ryanair as much as I can.
