Our current underwriting entities are clearly disclosed in our Certificates of Coverage, and we continuously ensure our public documentation reflects our current structure.    Don't have direct experience with SafetyWing or April specifically, but the claims-process pain you had with Cigna is common feedback. I'd ask providers directly (or check reviews/forums) about average claims turnaround before committing again- "worldwide + US coverage" plans vary a lot in how painless that process actually is in practice vs what they advertise.

   SafetyWing is not an insurance company. They are a reseller registered in the Turks & Caicos Islands, with a cartoonish website and Instagram shills pushing them left and right. Had an extremely negative experience with them, where they purposefully jerked me around for weeks over $200 until I gave up.

   SafetyWing have no intention of paying you a cent. It's a scam and the reason you see it on digitalnomad/travel videos is because it's purely paid advertising. I had an illness with hospital stay, put in a claim and had my claim approved for $0 after deductions. They don't intend to pay you a cent.
