Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Had a really toxic relationship in my early 20s, girl was a narcissist and a psychopath and was slowly but surely destroying me with lies, gaslighting, and total manipulation. Got the balls one day to kick her out of my house, get a police restraining order (she broke into my house a few days later through a window and slapped me in the face (she’s crazy, and needed control of the break up I suppose) and at that moment I was like…I need to get the hell out of New Jersey. Always wanted to learn Spanish so said fuck it and moved to Mexico, sold the majority of my things, and moved. That was back in 2020. I speak fluent Spanish, have lived in the majority of the country of Mexico along with a 2 year stint in Istanbul, Turkey and a few other places in Europe for months at a time. I’m back in Mexico now, in between the Jalisco and Nayarit coast. Currently a private school teacher, so I’m anchored here for a year, but I have ample vacation time to go on some adventures. I have a Mexican girlfriend who fortunately is not crazy like my ex, we have a nice little house with a view of the ocean, a palapa on our roof for caguamas (big beers) with friends, and we enjoy the beach life. I’m 29 now and will almost certainly never return to the US full time. I’ve been back to my home state of NJ only 2 times since I left, and only for q wedding and a grandparent’s funeral. I know my story isn’t like extreme but I consider myself a bit of a hybrid DN because sometimes I find local jobs, and other times I work online. I live a happy and stress free life. Would love to help anyone interested in doing what I did. Cheers!

That was ugly wording, but they’re right that, aside from in the least-of-the-least developed countries, wireless is going to be a better option for most digital nomads. Unless you’re way out in the boonies, which most aren’t, wireless is more reliable for most situations, always on, and far more portable. I, personally, rely on Starlink almost exclusively, and it’s been a game changer, as I travel to remote areas without coverage in a van and sailboat. But that’s likely not OP’s use case. I’m also confused about the “ruin the experience” part. Yes, you’ll have a much more present experience without always having access to internet. But this is a group for digital nomads (people who need internet to work). If you’re looking to go out to remote places while taking time off work, then by all means, leave the dish behind. You WILL enjoy it more. And, yes, there are many countries where StarLink is not licensed for use (check the official map), and some that don’t allow import. In some unlicensed countries (like French Polynesia) you could still use it indefinitely, in some (like the Grenadines) you’d get cut off after 60 days, in some (like Turkey) it never works at all. And they’ve just clamped down again on their international use, lowering out-of-country limits from 60 to 30 days. The only way around that is to cancel your plan and transfer it back to a new account, and you can only do that once every 90 days..
