Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Puppy won't stop eating EVERYTHING - I know this is somewhat normal puppy behavior, but does anyone have any advice on how to teach them not to eat (like actually trying to swallow) literally everything they find on the ground that will fit in their mouth? I'm willing to put in the work if there's a strategy that works. I really don't want this to become a life-long issue. BACKGROUND: She's an 11 week-old rescue and seems to have not really been supervised very in her foster home (no shade, they saved her and kept her alive and we're grateful). She's been living with us for about 2 weeks now and eats EVERYTHING she finds on the ground - pine cones, mulch, splintered wood, lichen, moss, pebbles, tree bark, sticks, acorns, trash, small kids toys, etc. If it was just the dead bugs and lizards and cat poop, I could accept that it's disgusting but pretty normal dog behavior, but I'm obviously most worried about the inedible/choking hazard items, which I am pulling out of her mouth literally every 30 seconds or even more when I take her outside. It would also be great to train her not to immediately eat any human food that gets dropped on the floor, since I know some of that is also not safe and this sweet, dumb baby has literally ZERO survival instincts. I try my best to remove temptation (making kids pick up their toys and such), but that's obviously not a realistic long term solution, and making it even harder right now is that I injured myself the other day and am currently on crutches, so I can't move as fast as her, and every time she gets something in her mouth, I have to drop my crutches, fall to the ground and wrestle it out of her mouth. Often by the time I get back up she has found something else. 😭 Help! How do I train this out of her?? I know training her to do/not do anything will take a while, but I don't want her to grow up to be the kind of dog who needs repeated surgeries to remove non-food objects from her stomach or can't be left alone even 30 seconds without harming herself. I've tried redirecting with play time and chew toys but NOTHING is as interesting to her as the stuff she finds for herself. I keep her on a fairly short leash almost all the time (unless someone capable of keeping up with her is actively playing with her). She STILL manages to find stuff, constantly. Hellllllp.

I boarded my dog for 2 weeks to go on vacation, it was one where they stay in a common area during the day. He died the day after I picked him up. He was a 14 year old chihuahua. Still devastated and it has been years

She will be fine. It is like adopting dogs from shelter. My last one didnt go to the shelter but straight to foster care. She was 7 yo. We pulled her after 2 weeks at foster care. She was scared for the first 6 months, but slowly and surely was starting to trust us. After a year, she became a spunky grandma. At 8, she perked up and chewed everything in the house, she went totally mischieveous. We loved her dearly, I was devastated when she died at 10 suddenly. So yeaaah, give your pup time to trust you and the family

I can't bear to leave my dog for 2 weeks. Anywhere I could go for vacay wouldn't be as good as being home with my pupper.

I have boarded my dogs multiple times for 2 weeks. I have a staffy who loves boarding! My xolos struggle because they are naturally aloof and have "stranger danger" It takes them the 2 weeks to adjust while they are there. Once they are back home with me they are perfectly fine.
