Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I have to agree with no bed sleeping. Just tell that human your fur friend has been in the picture longer and has more rights to the apartment. If you make this person permanent in your life, I see less fur babies in your life. Time to get back on that dating app.

Dog sleeping in the bed - So my dog doesn’t typically sleep with me at night he sleeps on the couch in the living room, but when I’m not home he sleeps wherever he wants and sometimes that’s in my bed. I keep a sheet over my pillows and comforter to limit the hair etc on my pillows. I’ve been recently dating someone for a few months that just brought up now that they think it’s disgusting that I let my dog on the couch or the bed. My dog is 10.5 years old and I just don’t think it’s that big of an issue, but maybe I’m not being considerate? He said he’s been considering not coming over anymore unless I train him to stop. I live in a small apartment so by nature my dogs life is pretty small I don’t feel like I should limit where he can go in the apartment. Thoughts/ opinions/ things I haven’t considered? Help 🙁

Maybe try dog sitting or dog walking to fill the void and get puppy love. Having a dog in an apartment isn’t always fair. If you can afford to have someone come over daily or go to doggie daycare that’s different. None of that is 100 % guaranteed either.

in my opinion, even high energy dogs can live in apartments as long as the owner is dedicated to an enriching routine before work, as in getting up way early every morning to meet their needs. however, that’s the easy part of owning a dog. the worst part is owning a high energy puppy in an apartment, especially as a full time and single individual. you do have options if you want a puppy and i’m sure a breeder will work with you, but that’s something to consider.

Thank you! He is the second dog I’ve ever had, my first being my German shepherd who was female and EPI. She never really marked territory, but would become unusually aggressive around other female dogs. We also lived in the country and recently moved to an apartment (divorce) so if he was marking before, it wasn’t noticed as the yard was much larger and was on a leash less.
