Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Besides what others have said about puppies needing a lot of time and patience for training, walks / play time daily, etc you have to consider the financial aspect. Owing a dog is not cheap. You need to spend a bit to get all the basic supplies. Then you have to factor in veterinary care which is expensive and have a plan for unexpected veterinary emergencies (even more expensive). You may need to pay for a trainer, dog walker, day care, pet sitters / boarding, etc. If you live in a building with others, dog barking can be annoying and there's always going to be someone who will complain to the landlord. The occasional random bark might be tolerable but not constant barking. Enough complaints may result in you being asked to re-home the dog or move out. Fostering may be a better solution. The shelter pays for all the supplies and vet care. You can usually choose how long you are available to foster for, whether short term or long term and it doesn't need to be all the time with one dog after another. Or volunteer at a shelter or just wait until your life is more settled. There will always be dogs at shelters who need homes.

For a week i think. But I found someone that was a friend of a friend that also did boarding at home professionally. I would never leave my dog in a cage for 2 weeks only to come out for a few hours a day

You would be better off finding someone to watch your dog in your home. Boarding is very stressful for many dogs.

Happy to see us, tired for a day, back to normal, and extremely fit after playing for 2 weeks solid. She goes to daycare 3x a week at the same place and ALWAYS drags us to the door in excitement-even 2 days after boarding for 2 weeks. Editing to add, this is a 3 year old dog. We did the same with our older girls (11 & 12 at the time), and one was fine but one over exerted herself and needed a quick vet visit, but was fine with some rest.

Yeah idk what happened since we got the best boarding place we could find and my dog is still recovering after two years. We bring him on vacations now... costs less than boarding or pet sitting him anyway.
