   I get both of my dog’s teeth cleaned at least every two to three years. Yes it’s expensive but I didn’t do this with my older dog at first and he only has about 3 teeth left. Neither one has ever had an issue going under anesthesia

   Grew up with big dogs and am a stubborn man, laughed at small dogs. I now have a chihuahua, my second, actually. I haven’t had to scoop up dog poop in my yard for 8 years. Expenses are less. Teeth are often a problem with this breed, every 3-4 years she goes under gas and has teeth pulled and cleaned and that’s why of $2K. Also had a cardiologist visit for another thousand, but that may not be typical. Yes, bladder issues are problematic but usually when they get older. My dog likes to be picked up when there is danger, and into the car, but I don’t vary her around like a baby, unless there is an issue. One kind of odd thing, possible annoyance is that small dogs seem to attract strangers at the dog park, especially very little kids.

   I get my dogs' teeth cleaned annually. Dental health is directly related to heart and kidney health. I also brush their teeth nightly at home. It is absolutely worth investing in their dental health regularly before they're old.

   Yearly? That’s a hard NO. They just want your money. If your guy never got his teeth cleaned AND has tartar, then ok. Otherwise, they’re scamming you.
