   Thank you so much for your response! My girl falls asleep when hand stripping her ☺️. I’m between I also use a furminator and have a bathing brush that’s rubber. Her groomer uses a pumice stone and although her spay coat isn’t too bad, it does take time.

   I have a cattledog mix who I can bathe at home but don't dare do her nails - it doesn't help that they are all black minus 2 of them. We take her to a small groomer who schedules her for a later time slot when other dogs are gone and its just her and my other dog. She can only use clippers so far for her nails, but going to the smaller and more patient groomer helped our dog. I told the groomer do what she can until my dog let's her get all the nails - in the beginning it was just the front feet or a couple of nails. Now she is dramatic about it, but lets the groomer trim all the nails. We also touch her feet and play with them at home to help her get used to the feeling of someone touching them.

   Explain your concerns to the groomer and why you want to be there, and be completely honest about your dog’s behavior and what you’re worried might happen. If they still confidently tell you that there’s no problem and that you don’t need to worry, I would trust them. At the end of the day, they’re professionals who work with several dogs every day and have seen all kinds of cases and temperaments. If they feel confident that they can handle your dog, I wouldn’t worry about it.

   Eurasier needs groomer visit | has separation anxiety - Hello! I need advice about my dog. He really needs to visit a groomer. As the title says he has separation issues and he's scared of almost everything. I found a groomer that specializes in double coated fur but she insisted on me not being there when I tried to make an appointment. I told her to let her know after some thoughts about it. Maybe she is right but wanted to hear from other people who have been in the same situation. Could also be that I'm the one with the separation issue. In general he's not aggressive but will make a stand when he's being touched by me with a brush on his belly. Other places are fine. Advice is more than welcome.
