Yes 100% you should have started around 2 years old. Some wellness plans include it for a monthly fee so you don’t have to pay hundreds out of pocket every time. Also, brush his teeth if you don’t already

If you're not gonna do it yourself then you need to get it done. Especially for small breeds. I wish I had done it more often so that my little guy didnt have to have all his teeth removed. He's fine but his food like sextupled in cost every month having to move to canned soft food.

I do this with my girl, but could not with my previous doggo (RIP.) He was a tiny little rescue with a traumatic history and was very aggressive. Forget brushing his teeth, there would be bloodshed if I went anywhere near his bum for dingleberries or even a brush for his fur. We did everything we could but it just wasn't possible.
