Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Aw those kids are so sweet to give up their stuffies to your dogs! Those labs love to rip up stuffed animals and cause trouble! Did you let your dog keep the old toy at least lol?

This is kind of obvious, but is there any way to improve your AC upstairs? It might really improve things for both of you. Our dog has a treat ball that he LOVES, it’s basically a ball with a hole in it that he pushes around with his nose and his kibble falls out. We give half his kibble in the dish, half in the ball. He’s actually a 90 pound lab/coonhound mix, and this is the only inside game he really likes (although we do a lot of outside stuff so it hasn’t been a priority). If you DO try this I recommend the large size because they push them under furniture and a 10 pound visiting dog had no problem with the big one. treat ball Also, if there’s any option to get someone to walk him, it would be great for him. If you know a teenager in your neighborhood, or if there’s a job bank for seniors in your town, those might be more affordable options. Good luck, I can tell that you want to do right by him.

I did it and wouldn’t recommend. I got a lab/german shorthaired pointer puppy while I was working 8-10 hour days at age 24 with no idea what I was getting myself into. He chewed up every piece of furniture I owned while I was at work. Even when I was getting him hour long off leash dog park trips after work, it wasn’t enough. He needed multiple exercise sessions a day. He would jump over my fence and go running around the neighborhood. I would recommend either an old dog (8+) or a breed known to be lower energy and even then, plan to revolve your life around getting it the physical and mental stimulation it needs. An old dog would probably do fine with a good walk before and after work and be able to hold its bladder no problem.

Golden Retrievers don’t need lifejackets they’re made for swimming and they have a thing where they retrieve and get out of the water, they’re also rescue water dogs like Labs, Newfs and other water dogs so yes Retrievers don’t have to worry about drowning since they’re amazing swimmers

I got bit by a lab through someone’s car door and she apologized profusely and I just said it was okay and went into the store. I had bruising and marks from the teeth but I could see she was probably scared of me reporting it and I don’t think that dog was actually a danger. Another neighbor’s small dog bit my labs leg and I didn’t say anything because my dog was fine and I just avoid her now. If I thought the dog was a danger to anyone I’d be reporting it, or if this was a constant thing that I couldn’t avoid, but this is why people have problems with dog parks.
