Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Visiting a dog - My gf and I have been living together for a little under a year, and we have decided to break up soon. I am trying to decide what would be best for my Siberian husky Echo. For context, I got Echo when my previous ex (who did not take care of her very well) left me and abandoned Echo with me, which was very stressful for her. She tried to run away constantly and tore things up for the next few months. Eventually she adjusted, and me and echo have been together now for a couple of years. I (contrary to my previous ex) know how much a pure bred husky can be to deal with, but after all she went through I couldn’t stand to rehome her again. I take good care of her, feed her good food, give her as much exercise as I can, fixed, vaccines, etc… My gf absolutely adores the dog and has a much better financial & supportive structure than I do, and I am considering the fact that it would be best to leave echo with her. She has been helping me take very good care of her, splitting vet bills, buying enrichment toys, and splurging on fun things for the dog, things which I might have been unable to do for her on my own. When I go on trips etc.. echo is in the throes of it though, it very much upsets her to see me gone. I would feel very upset leaving her, especially since this is exactly what her last owner did, and I do not wish to further worsen her separation anxiety. Though this way she also would not have to be rehomed. She could stay here in the same house she has been living in with someone familiar to her. I also understand that an adjustment period is necessary. If I do leave her here, I probably won’t visit for a long time, but I was wondering if it would be any easier for me to visit her without upsetting her since she would already be staying with someone who she knows and not moving. What do you think? Take her with me? Leave her with my gf? Thoughts on visiting? Just looking for opinions. I’m sure I’ll make the right choice, but this is the first dog I have ever had that is my own, and I would very much love what is best for her.

My dogs murder any toy we've ever given them that is not an actual bone. I buy them bones on ropes and horns and they LOVE them. They last a long time and are also good for their teeth!

The best toys I've found for my power chewer are the Rip Roarin Toughs by JoyHound. He enjoys playing with them and they take a long time and a lot of dedication to destroy. They sell them at PetSmart and I think Amazon usually has some too

It might be worth changing your perception of what a dog toy is actually for. For some dogs, the game *is* to destroy the thing. So we can go all out, buying more and more expensive toys, trying to find something that 'works' for *our* conception of 'toy', whilst the dog is having a great time destroying everything we bring for them. They are loving the toys we bring them, and the only problem is that we are thinking that toys are something that's meant to last a long time. Once you switch your mindset you can move over to spending a lot less on toys, but with the end result of giving your dog 10 times more entertainment, because you're offering repurposed junk for the sheer joy of destroying it!

I work at a shelter and even though your dog didn’t come from one, it can take a long time for some dogs to adjust to a new home. Most dogs feel secure with structure. A regular outdoor walking schedule to lift his spirits. (3-4 x a day if you can).
