Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

We’ve had a Jameson Ann, a Quincy Belle, and now a Toa Ruth. All females. We got Toa right after Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, so I lobbied hard for Ruthie. She’s the runt of the Aussie litter, is black with a white collar/shawl around her neck, and she is fierce. I was outvoted by 3-1, so that’s her middle name.

It leads them better than a regular leash would on the neck or back.

It's definitely a by the dog thing. Help them figure it out and they do better. My first dog I raised more poorly, my second I focused on having her keep more autonomy and critical thinking. The results were one dog I'd have to keep detangling manually while the other would untangle herself. Even if it gets hooked on trees I can usually fish her back correctly that I don't have to go detangle. It's a mix of pulling when she's going the wrong way, loosening when correct, and telling her wrong way or back up depending (early on I trained them to go left when there was an object so wrong way became an early command). She'd occasionally trip on the leash (but she's also just a clumsy dog and always has been) but usually she's tripping other people or dogs instead while remaining unbothered. The harness absolutely helps but I wouldn't use such a long line without a harness anyways since if they bolt and pick up speed, the chest impact is way safer than the neck. My first dog also started with longer leads as he used to be tied out before I had a fence but he still never learned how to untangle. I got him a 50ft lunge line when he was under a year old so he had plenty of time to learn. I think I blame it on me solving problems for him as a puppy vs giving my second puppy problems to solve on her own (but also don't do this unless you're ok with your dog being way too smart cause she's definitely gotten into trouble a few times from it). Also do thicker lines and ones with spring/give to them. Retractable leashes are dangerous because of their guage (and mechanisms that fail easier but mainly their guage). Thinner stuff with higher tension causes more physical damage if it hits someone while larger stuff eats more of that energy potential and spreads out damage so it's more superficial. Ropes with give also end up doing a lot of the pull back on the dog should they lunge and eat a bunch of that force vs ones without that give. My 50ft has better lunge control than my 30ft because of that elasticity.

When I use a drag line for my dogs, they are on a harness. That way they dont damage their necks if they hit the end of the line hard, and it keeps it away from their paws some!

How does your dog(s) do with tripping on the line? Anytime I let my dog drag his leash he would end up stepping on it and yanking his neck. After only one or 2 instances like that he decided to just stop moving once he felt any resistance from the leash.
