Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

If there is no other serious health complications that may cause pain, he should be able to happily lives good life I have seen videos about blind/deaf dogs. They are taught by touch. They don’t have mental anguish, especially being born like that. They simply live by the moment, like all other dogs. As long as you know what you are getting into (a different mentality of training, safety and patience) and can insure a stable good life for your current dogs then go for it. The only concern if have is the interaction between a blind/dead dog and a dog dealing with hip problems/surgery recovery as the new puppy maybe can’t tell if he accidentally hurts her.

That is scary! I'm glad you were able to get him seen by a vet. I would just sit with your dog and let him know you're there, and touch him gently but be careful; dogs can do things way outside their normal behavior when they're in pain, scared, or medicated. The most important things are being with him to ease his fear and to get him medical care. which you're already doing. Breathe & think good thoughts! eta: what color is he? I love labs.

I’m so sorry. I lost my dog this way. It was pretty instant though. If the vet is saying all is okay internally, just be there for them. They will be sore and probably be in pain for a bit. Wishing you and your dog the best.

  4. Comment

If your vet is recommending a professional cleaning because of tartar buildup, it's probably worth taking seriously. Dental disease can lead to pain, infections, and even affect other organs if left untreated. The anesthesia part is definitely understandable to worry about, but for a healthy 6-year-old dog, the risks are generally low when proper bloodwork and monitoring are done. Not every dog needs a cleaning every year—it really depends on their dental health and how well their teeth are maintained at home.

That the pain you feel when they pass is unbearable :(
