Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

An 11 week old puppy can learn a few simple cues like sit, down, and come when paired with food rewards. But it isn't going to stop chewing on things. Whatever you don't want your puppy to get needs to be moved, so your puppy simply can't get it. And though you don't feel it's realistic for your kids to pick up after themselves, if you can't train your kids to do that, you won't be training your puppy not to eat those things, either. That could translate into an expensive emergency trip to the vet. Puppies typically stop the most intense teething-related chewing and eating of random objects around 6 to 9 months old, once all their permanent adult teeth have come in.

Thanks. I think we'll look around for collars with a light buzz and give it a try. I am so incredibly grateful that when she was a puppy, our dog trainer had us include hand signs along with verbal commands. So all these years, as we've been telling her to "come," "sit," or "stay," we've been just doing those hand signs as well, not thinking much of it. And now, those hand signals are ***everything.*** Phew. No new trick for this old dog! 😂

Yes. When she looks at me, she is amazing with sign language. Thankfully when she was a puppy, her trainer had us use hand gestures along with verbal commands, so we already have "come," "sit," and "stay" firmly trained. The problem is when we're on a hike and she's running and living her best life, she is not always looking at me to see that sign language. The issue is getting her attention so she'll look at me.

for all the dog cares, you could be saying "forever young" , he doesn't understand words, just connects words you say to his actions at that moment. 😉 same with hand signals: you can make a dog sit by scratching your nose if you want

I use "go to your room" if I need to lock him up for any reason, whether his own safety or the safety of somebody coming to my door. If I have his crate setup, then he goes into the crate and lays down. If the crate isn't setup, then he goes into my office and lays on his pillow. "Go to your spot" is when I want him to lay down on his section of the couch. Usually reserved for when he's laying in the middle of the floor and he's in the way. He also follows non-verbal commands using hand signs. He's really good at those, and it's really handy if I'm in a position where I can't give him a command. I can snap to get his attention and throw up whatever sign I need from him, whether it's sit, lay down, or go to your spot. We play "search and rescue" where I show him a toy, then lock him in my office while I hide it somewhere in the house, then I tell him to search, which also has a non-verbal sign. My personal favorite, though, is the Protect command. He sits between your feet facing whatever the threat is in front of you when you tell him to protect.
