Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Did your vet offer actual calming meds? I've found the chews do not work on really anxious dogs

Nail Trimming Tips? - I’m at a loss. My 1.5 year old won’t let us trim her nails. I even started as a puppy playing with her feet to get her used to it but I think maybe the vet may have clipped it too close one time and now she won’t let anyone near her. The vet won’t even do it because she won’t let them. I’ve tried \-extensive treat training to positively encourage it \-nail file toys \-nail filer and nail clipper- both are the problem \-muzzling her to prevent biting but she thrashes and we can’t get her to let us near \-calming chews (natural products like from the native pets brand) I genuinely don’t know what else to do. Has anyone else ever had a dog that was this resistant to nail trimming and if so, what helped? I don’t know what else to do

I have always since I was born had a dog. I am 77 now and simply cannot ever fathom a life without one. “Dog person”. If you have occasionally had dogs and loved them. That’s fine but like the vet In a previous thread said it doesn’t make you a “dog person”. Two kinds of people. True.

Has the vet done anything other than give him pain meds? He needs X-rays. No suspected internal injuries are great but without X-rays there’s no proof of that being the actual case.

Honestly, you already ran this experiment: she panicked alone, and she's noticeably better with your sibling's dog around. For a dog already on meds for this, 10 hours alone 5 days a week isn't a training opportunity, it's the exact situation she's proven she can't handle yet. If your sibling is genuinely willing, that's the kinder setup short term, and you could use visits to slowly build her alone-time tolerance without the pressure of a work schedule depending on it. It says a lot that you're optimizing for her and not for you. Worth asking the vet who prescribed the sedatives what they'd do too, since they know her case.
