Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

My first two dogs were Ginger Sparks and Sidney Bow. My third dog I named Mira because I was hoping she’d pay attention to me and be well behaved. She was 16.5 when I got her. She could not hear a damn thing. So everyone just called her ‘the dog’ or ‘baby lamby’ (not my idea but she did look like one).

Not me, but a friend has a dog with a dog first name and a human middle name. He’s very well behaved off-leash 99% of the time, but when she has to resort to calling him by both his names, he knows he’s in big trouble and comes right back to her.

Digging in Couch - How do I get my dog to stop digging in the couch and/or get him to stay off the couch to include when we are not in the room? He does not know the definition of integrity. In his opinion, as long as we aren’t present to see the crime, he is not committing a crime. He is incredibly smart and well behaved. He digs in the couch when he is uncomfortable due to highly irritated skin or when he is throwing a little hissy fit for any other reason. (I don’t need advice about the skin issue. It is as under control as we can get it, but he still gets flare ups). In the front room near the door, he has a nice bed to lay on by the front door, an ottaman that I keep covered just for him, and a love seat that I keep covered just for him. Yes, he owns three beds downstairs that are all his. I keep the couch in that room covered with a blanket and barricaded with pillows to keep him off of it and it works. In the living room, I had a leather couch because it cleans easily but he trashed it by digging on it. I have replaced it and would like to have my living room be the ONE nice room where I can sit and enjoy my couch without it being covered by blankets or pillows to protect it from getting destroyed by him. I actually even tried pillows on the couch as barricades, but for some reason pillows do not keep him off this couch. I don’t want to look at ugly gates and barricades in just this one room! He has to have access to the room itself though because 1) it is the only route to the doggy door, 2) it is where we are most of the time, and 3) I have an open floor plan making it impossible for me to block off. Before you tell me I signed up for this, I did not. My ex husband got the dog despite my repeated protests and then left it with me when he left me. I love the dog anyway and spend over $200 per month just to treat his skin issues. So, please don’t lecture me in any way. I just want to have a nice couch in a nice room that is for me to use. BTW: I have to keep any furniture he sits on covered due to grossness of his skin issues, so if I cover a couch and let him sit on it, then I can not sit on it because the covering gets gross in one day. So yeah, I no longer sit on the front room. I just want a couch to sit on!

Yes. They are well behaved and do fine home alone. They arent anxious or destructive. All they do is sleep on their backs with the occasional roam around the house to eat, drink water and/or go to the back yard. I have the sitter leave the backyard door open after the morning walk and close it after the evening walk.

I get it...the deliveries to the house are for the dog now. She gets her nails done, has beautiful collars and leashes with gorgeous tags, toys upon toys for entertainment...one ingredient variety of snacks filling a whole shelf in the pantry, fluffy dog blankies and beds by the piles...and mama's hair needs to see a professional and a new outfit would be wonderful. But she's so good and well behaved, I just can't help it. She brings so much joy to my life, I want to give her everything.
