Yes, literally in an old quarry that had become a park and there was a dive platform on top of a cliff and we cannonballed off of it. I would not do that just any place, well nowadays I can't anyway, but the water depth at that location was 50 ft, the cliff walls were very straight and the platform went out 10 ft from the top of the cliff.
