Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

It’s a job interview, not boot camp. People get nervous and their mouths get dry. It’s not nearly as unprofessional or just plain rude as ghosting people after they’ve interviewed, but that happens all the time.

  2. Comment

I generally take some water anywhere I go, but for a job interview, it would be stowed in something. If I need it during an interview I can ask if they mind that I take a sip of water or excuse myself to do that depending on the vibe. I wouldn't bring anything with an aroma (like coffee) and nothing that has more than 1 ingredient (water, plain tea basically). Anything else is too casual for 1st impressions. What they do during the interview is just as important, too. For me, bloody marys during an interview tells me all I need to know about the interviewer...by extension, I would assume the work culture will be casual and probably a bit toxic or out of control.

  3. Comment

I am 54. I have NEVER been to a job interview that didn’t offer me a beverage. If I were hiring it wouldn’t bother me, but as an applicant I would never. I won’t dehydrate in 30-45 minutes an interview takes. I want to focus on making a good impression-not where do I put the drippy cup/ big Stanley while I’m waiting, filling out forms, etc. when a drink is provided they usually set it somewhere for me.

  4. Comment

Any job interview I have been on, the beverages were offered. From an assistant offering, to a pitcher of ice water on a board table. Usually offered during the initial small talk and introductions.

  5. Comment

I been offered a beverage at most of the job interviews I had over the years. Water or coffee, mostly. I do feel that if you bring a beverage it needs to be unobtrusive. A container of water, for example. You should not be bringing in a rattling, sweating, jumbo cup of iced coffee to slurp through a straw. You might as well be sucking on a Slurpee, and don't you even think about plonking that wet, messy thing on my desk.
