OMG! Your story made me realize something. I hated liver and onions but my mom would make it occasionally. She would tell me it was her favorite dish and I should enjoy it. I'm finally realizing that she NEVER made it after I left home. There are multiple other dishes that I didn't like what she continued to make even more after I left, but not liver and onions. Your story made me realize that my mom was gaslighting me throughout my childhood that she actually liked liver. You must have hated it just as much as me because she never once made it after I was gone.

I have 3 sisters and they hated most everything. My mom was so happy with me and my brother because we'd eat anything. I liked liver and onions. It's one of those things though that I don't trust myself to do a good job with so I don't eat it, but I don't have a problem with it either.
