Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I was a stagehand for a few years. It’s absolutely insane how rules on safety could just get thrown out the window to make a deadline. One of the saddest stories happened at my old arena, a guy fell off stage and his back landed on something and he was paralyzed. He was still working at the arena decades later. Some people give this career their all, blood sweat and tears and all. I always honestly felt like an impostor, since it was just a college gig for me, but man has it taught me so much. Made me really have an appreciation for big shows. It was really nice being a local, hearing stories from people all around the world. Honestly kinda miss it now that I’m reminiscing lol, every day was different and it made time go by slower. Now the days could >!blur!< if I don’t do something about it lol.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Hardest working band in the business, true music lovers, and relentless. Pushed themselves to explore every avenue of music they feel amused by but keep true to themselves somehow. Their recordings feel grounded and organic. They do every aspect of the business themselves and have grown their own crew from their own soil. And then pushed them further than most small crews have ever gone. Twin Peaks. They've recently reunited but this is another one of the hardest working bands I've ever followed. They write way too many great songs and then back them up live with an intense authenticity. Another truly independent group including their team around em. Jack White. You already know em but youre looking the other way. He's also been prolific lately and putting out very real very cool recordings and propping up other artists with a similar mindset along the way. Everything Third Man records is doing is cool. Primitive Ring. A new favorite of mine. These guys are rock veterans with other projects but this one is quietly a little super group and they're putting in even more work Tame Impala. Yeah sure it's "just one guy" but everyone around him also grinded it out to create one of the bigger spectacles in music. All of the members in the live band helped with early recordings and keep another insane project on the burners at all times. Which brings me to.. Pond. All of these guys in this band produce an unreal amount of quality real music and then nail it live. It's baffling theyre not bigger, but they've got Tame Impala tours to help keep their art authentic. Khruangbin. How is it even possible that an instrumental group can sell out arenas any night anywhere in the world? Theyre so ridiculously rehearsed that they record everything live together. The Bright Light Social Hour. Hardest touring, most committed band. If you get a chance to see them live you have to go. Mostly because you'll easily be able to stroll up to the front row. Another group that should be massive but is just unbelievably small. They've put in a lot of time and still remain dedicated. Djo. Joe Keery got famous on Stranger Things, but I knew him from a psych rock band called Post Animal before that. He's still playing with and propping those guys up with everything he's got going on, but he also never stopped being a really got damn great song writer. He's keeping his production and live show really authentic and the band is playing really good right now. Don't count Djo out because he happens to also be a good actor. The dude makes incredible and real music. He took his Stranger Things checks and funneled it directly to Electric Lady Studios to produce some of the biggest sounding real music recordings with his friends. Listen to The Crux Deluxe, through both albums, and you'll come out asking yourself who you are. Also a friend of Twin Peaks. To me, Chicago and Australia seem to produce the best bands. There are so many great bands doing it right now. Go buy a shirt and see the show.

Stevie's concert was insane because it was 3.5 hrs of songs literally everyone in the arena knew. He's had so many hits even his deep cuts went at least gold

TL;DR- my joint was nice today and I'm sorry but I love Beartooth, but they are not close to a household name. Only maybe now will they get known due to the story of Caleb coming out (ala Against Me and Laura Jane (I love you Laura but we talking general public knowledge)) Long winded version for fun discussions: Nah dude I hate to say it the other commenters are right. I'm at this point the middle age metal/hardcore head and reality is unless you're in the scenes there isn't any bands really getting name checked by mainstream audiences, the only ones are the classics like Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer. And half of that is due to fashion choices of celebs at this fuckinf point. Either got to be big enough they were known or iconic somehow (Slayer being "so evil" to many, Rammstein as the German du hast band with fire) Even the likes of the iconic and unmatched Gwar are not a known name and they've been at it since what mid to late 80s? example in point. Turnstile and Haywire are the biggest fucking hardcore or hardcore adjacent bands out there and possibly ever. Black flag, bad brains, they never hit mainstream or had a chance. Still turnstile is at best STILL ONLY known for being a taco bell commercial to main stream audiences, and haywire is only getting known in Boston area cause their work ethic/charity outreach. Dropkick Murphy's being aside them is a huge factor too. Like modern metal maybe Lorna Shore and Sleep Token are known? But also mainly from tiktok popularity. That's the only reference a pedestrian fan has. I wish Gojira, Orbit Culture, Cattle D, Behemoth, fucking even BMTH, I wish any of these to be known as the damn kaiju sized legends they are or are becoming. But nope. Never fuckin will. I'm honestly shooting to see hardcore be the bridge, bring the mainstream in to the culture, hopefully introduce the ideals, the sound etc... then that be the step into metal for people. Btw, saying this as someone who found Caleb from Beartooth, first saw em play a 350 person room where we had people crawling on heads left and right to catching em headline shows, opening for arena acts, and now they are approaching being the arena level headliners or higher. Love this band to death and I'm with Caleb ride or fucking die so completely on his story and art, but the reality is no one knows them unless you're into at least octane rock level stuff, and even with those fans it likely doesn't connect fully. This is wordy man. Sorry my joint was relaxing as fuck today.

Tbf, the arena needed to be sounding the alarm here. She's not a fire fighter. There's 100% safety crew from both the arena and her crew that need to be acting. That said, the worst thing she could do is make people panic. A crowd crush would be very bad, especially knowing the layout of TD Garden.
