   I mean I lived at Sunset and La Brea for a decade and my gym was the LA Fitness on Hollywood. It’s not great for women to be walking around alone and it’s definitely not great at night. It’s mostly just dumbass tourists and street performers trying to hustle you for money. That being said, parts of the fashion district and a lot of downtown are way worse.

   Everyone told me to be careful in Paris before I went for a skate trip and then I told them I live in Hollywood and they were like you’re fine. These comments are all idiots who’ve never left the Midwest suburbs scared of anyone with a tan

   This exactly. I lived in the sketchy run down bizarre-O & Beautiful hole of Hollywood for a couple of years and the best single word that I can use to describe the actions there is 'RANDOM'.
