   Oh noes 😲 He cooked his career over the last year and probably violated all his iron clad industry contracts. It tracts he's broke.    Before giving you individual songs I think some albums worth your time are: John Frusciante - Curtains, IIRC this was made around the time John recovered from his heroin addiction. The album itself is what I would consider melancholy. Some depressing parts, some happy parts but throughout the entire album there's this feeling that something is weighing on him. Queens of The Stone Age - Alive in the catacombs. What it says on the tin, it's an acoustic set recorded in the Paris (?) catacombs. Not too sad or depressing but the vibe is there. Some of my favourite songs when I'm feeling down in the dumps (which is quite often): Pearl Jam - Black Alice In Chains - Nutshell Strays Don't Sleep - For Blue Skies Citizen - Drown (acoustic) Citizen - Flowerchild Chris Cornell - Like A Stone (live at the queen Elizabeth theater) Hospital Bracelet - Earth and Moon Hospital Bracelet - Bad Prescription Mom Jeans - Now THIS is podracing Fleetwood Mac - Dreams

   Lewis Capaldi does a great live cover of When The Party's Over too Landslide by Fleetwood Mac has always hit the spot for me. Also the first half of Rest by Foo Fighters. Fair warning the second half veers from quiet melancholy to loud suicidal in no time at all

   Get Better by Alt-J . First time I heard this song it brought me to tears for some reason and since then I skip it whenever I re-listen The Dream. Another melancholic song that (maybe doesn't fit with the style of the songs suggested here but) brings you that spine tingling happiness/melancholy is Varúð by Sigur Rós ...
