Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Decades away? BOTH songs were already on albums at the time! Candle in the Wind actually takes the place of Bennie and the Jets on some international pressings. Tiny Dancer is on volume 2, despite already having been a single during the time of volume one. Also. Some of these songs performed differently in various parts of the world so their status as ‘hits’ during that time was debatable. The issue was that you could only fit so many songs on a single LP. Most CD issues of Greatest Hits combine the US and UK tracklisting to include Candle and Benny. The fact that a single artist already had this many legendary songs to fill a single LP this early into his career was in and of itself a major feat!

You are absolutely correct here. Albums used to be the *product*\- the tour was to sell albums. Now album sales are gone and streaming doesn’t pay shit, so it’s just singles and social media posts to promote the *new product*\- ticket sales and merch.

Doesn't have a lot of nonsense lyrics and actually sings with the exception of Hump de Bump, right? 😂 My favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers album is One Hot Minute, an unpopular choice I'm sure. I like it because it has a darker sound with Dave Navarro on board and because it's the one I owned and listened to the most. Owned Californication as well, but never listened to it because I was tired of hearing all the singles constantly. Obviously, I am not a real fan of the band.

It fits the original prompt too. "Walls" and the three Wildflowers singles weren't bigger hits than Free Fallin' or Running Down a Dream, but they were all pretty big and all released after Petty's greatest hits album.

ABBA's Greatest Hits was released about six months before "Dancing Queen" was released as a single. My mother was livid. 😀
