   She was not found guilty in court, she never admitted to tax fraud and simply agreed to settle out of court. This recent development show the Spanish tax authorities did not have as strong case as they thought she did and she likely would have won in court. While not difficult concepts to understand, it’s perfectly ok for you to not understand them but don’t assume you do, yet getting all facts wrong and be this disagreeable and rude to people.

   I can't really read Japanese but I skimmed through and the rhythm feels pretty natural for a first attempt. Writing lyrics in hiragana only must be tricky since you lose the nuance from kanji I tried writing a song in spanish once and it came out sounding like a google translate mess. My friend who actually speaks it laughed at me for like ten minutes straight You planning to record this or is it more a poetry exercise

   Crazy how little press this news got compared to the “Shakira is a tax dodger” articles that came before. First i heard it! I was always sceptical of the case because someone like shakira has tax advisers but also personal assistants and flight logs that can attest of where she was and when. The Spanish tax authorities are notoriously bullish and go after celebrities with weak cases but with the expectation that the PR backlash and legal fees would force them to settle even if they are innocent. The Spanish tax authorities have nothing to lose in doing so.

   Interesting thanks. I may be shouldn’t have been so definitive in my initial comment. I lived in Spain for about 10 years and knew a lot of people from Latam and have heard a lot of varying experiences. Also as a not Latina immigrant, I’ve heard really awful racist things said in front of me by Spanish people who I would have otherwise considered very intelligent, kind people and I guarantee they wouldn’t have said it to your face for example. I guess because I’m white and from US they thought I would agree with them. I found it quite shocking so it left a real impression on me, because it happened well, more than once, I’ll say that.

   My sister in law got residency easy enough. She has no direct connection to anything besides being part of a country Spain invaded and decimated the population of a couple hundred years ago. Another friend married a German and her parents moved to Spain to be closer to their daughter but still be in a Spanish speaking country. Also, no connection except Spanish genocide of their people.
