I don't understand the hate Thom has received for this sentiment. Many musicians and bands have expressed similar opinions over the years, with 0 outrage. Michael Jackson (famously did not like to tour), David Byrne (basically got TH to stop touring because he hated doing the same show nightly), Dillinger Escape Plan (what a list, eh?). give me a break. EDIT: Clarity for DEP, I read an interview with Greg Pucatio years back with him basically saying, "You do the tour to get to the next set of songs (to write/record)"

This headline is misleading and if anyone actually listened to the entire interview they’d realize it’s a singular statement in a larger conversation about creativity and productivity within the scope of being an artist and songwriter - how sometimes the tap is flowing and other times you have writers block despite putting in the work. For whatever reason the creative juice wasn’t flowing for Thom after the last Radiohead tour… and then he said after a couple months it was fine.
