We lived in Brooklyn for years and then bought a condo in downtown Jersey City. We loved living there and had our kid there. But we were in a tiny one bedroom condo, with good jobs, but couldn’t afford a bigger place between the insane property taxes, real estate prices, etc. We considered moving back to Brooklyn, but prices were even worse. Ultimately we got jobs in the Capital Region and bought a house. Schools are good here, but there’s so much traffic, all public events are crowded, and I feel super lonely/isolated. My daughter really misses JC and I really miss our old lifestyle.
