Sorry I should have been more clear. A salary is still a "wage". You are still selling your labor to a employer that owns the business(Private property). The way you are paid does not change the fundamentals of the relationship. A house you use for shelter is personal property. If you have two homes and rent the second one out to people. The second home is private property. In this a way, a doctor who is on salary and owns their home is still a worker. We cannot let them divide us. Income is secondary to ownership. Ownership is what drives inequality.

Not true. Plenty of people own a modest home and have a salary and are very much working class. IMO you are no longer working class if you can live off of your investments and wealth without needing ti actively manage it on your own.

Agreed. And to add to that, people have no idea how many useless office jobs there are at tweed racking up twice the salary of teachers with half the work.

Thats exactly what I mean, thats not enough to attract top talent in NYC. Top talent in the private sector earn 600k to 1 mil+ salaries (depending on the field)

There’s a difference between Trump and Bloomberg doing it and Zohran doing it. Zohran isn’t rich. Do his parents have money? Yeah, but that’s peanuts compared to Michael fucking Bloomberg. Now with Trump, he’s refused a salary, but he’s taken advantage of the office to make billions of dollars.
