   I see what you're saying, but some of that is honestly the aging – like, there's no way you're going to look the way you do 16 or even 8 years ago, even if you shower with diamond purified water and moisturize with the milk of goats fed on Erewhon zaatar crackers. I'm sure she's had something done but sometimes the styling, lighting or expression pronounces it.

   He also was bringing escorts to the house when the mom wasn't there but the kids were. These kids never had a chance. People are now questioning why he put video cameras into his 14 and 16 year old step daughter's rooms and took away their doors for getting c's in school. But he let his son sneak out in middle school and have sex with with girls to the point where the oldest daughter was ubering KJ (the one accused and on probation for sex abuse) home nearly every night.

   I call this the Lolita problem. If you start casting 16, 18 and 22 year old girls to play 11 year old girls because the content is too dark for an 11 year old girl, you inadvertently twist the audiences’ takeaway from the story and give the man who victimized her a lot more grace than he deserves (as have all the live action adaptations of Lolita). If the director isn’t creative enough to get an age appropriate cast to highlight the severity of the crime against a young victim, maybe live action isn’t the appropriate medium for the director to tell this story.

   Fr I’m also about to turn 30 and istg I get ID’d now as much if not more than I did when I was 18, or 16 and clubbing w a fake ID. Recently had a guy who looked (to me) 21 MAX refuse to sell me a bottle of wine bc I forgot my ID. Like, I get it, he’s following the rules. Found myself saying “seriously? I’m about to turn 30!!” And he was like hahah sure you are. Was so bizarre to me bc I felt so obviously older than him, I was like kid, do you think I’m YOUNGER thank you? I would’ve thought I’m obviously older to anyone 18 to early 20s (which he obviously had to be to be working in this place) but since then I’ve started taking note and have been ID’d by this age group a lot, one or two of whom have looked at my birth year (or more likely the century lol sos) and said OH SORRY. But also had much much older ppl ID me, laugh and/or say some version of oooooh sorry haha. I do also think I dress/style myself “younger”, not intentionally but I just haven’t massively changed my taste or style in the last decade…which I think majorly plays into how we culturally view women of a certain age and how we used to

   I am 46 and feel that 69 is too old for me. Jeeeeezus And 16 or 23 whatever-- NO common ground with a boomer. He just sees them as holes. Gross old nerd.
