   My god, as a baseball nerd, I am such a huge fan of Sarah Langs' baseball research and I'm really sad about what she has to deal with. ALS is unfair to everyone who gets it, but she was so ***young*** when it started to affect her. She was only around 26 when she developed an unexplained limp, and about 28 when she got diagnosed five years ago. (She's the same age as my baby brother! It's just so darn young!) I'm really going to miss reading her findings and observations after she passes. The Cubs tv broadcast team mention her posts a lot and they're always fascinating. (I clearly need to send her some fan mail, haha.) I'm really glad that MLB has the End-ALS day (officially, "Lou Gehrig Day") every year now. Thankfully, for an old stadium, Wrigley Field seems to do a great job at welcoming in and accommodating the needs of fans with ALS and their carers. The Cubs' play-by-play guy also lost one of his best friends to it twenty years ago. His friend founded a really great nonprofit before he died called "Project Main Street" and its funds go towards direct financial assistance for ALS patients and their families.

   I mean no? I can speak for myself. All my life experieces at 33 years old as an adult man, tells me that people would indeed think I'm the weird one for dating a much older woman, close to her 60's, and everyone would think I made these choices with my free will, and I'm responsible for enganging in that relationship? Idk, I believe in equality enough to call out double standards in every way I can, wherever I see it, and it goes both ways. As a man, I'm aware of the little privledges I have, however, it seems to me, women never want to acknowledge theirs? This is one of those little cases of a privledge, of being a 28 year old woman and people still treat you like a 14 year old girl who knows nothing and is perputually innocent. It's actually women I see the most suggest that a 28 year old woman can't make adult choices, and that men should be ashamed of themselves for pursing situations like this? But it's never applied the same in the inverse. So you and many others are suggesting softly, on accident, that men are somehow more smart and more manipulating than women, that when men open their mouths, women are hypnotized like snakes, but it's not applied the same on the inverse. If the roles were swapped, everyone in society holds me responsible for enganing relations with a 56 year old woman. Just acknowledge how silly it is, to even care what consenting adults do with each other, that makes them both happy. And if one of them becomes unhappy, then that's fuckin' life man. Walk away then. Either way, that has nothing to do with you, your opinion on other adult lives don't matter. Women are adults, adults make choices and adults are accountable for those choices, full stop, thanks for coming to my TED talk. I believe women are our equals, do you believe that? Or do you believe Men are surperior and can't be trusted because they will use their silver tongues to convince women out of their own accountability to do actions, while still holding men fully accountable when the situations are reversed.
