Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

He’s not guilty of murder, he’s just an ignorant asshole who is high on his own farts. Take the Halsey situation. He roasted her album (about going through cancer), called it whiny and self obsessed, and gave it a shit score. Now maybe it’s just me, but if I’m reviewing any artist’s work and I notice a running theme, I’m going to dig around to try and find out more about it. That this supposedly *good* music critic couldn’t even be bothered to find out why the album was the way it was, or to better find out why he didn’t like it shows me his work is sloppy, uninformed, and not worth considering. He doesn’t give a shit about his own work, why should we?

  2. Comment

Part of that is due to people living longer. For instance, men are nearly guaranteed prostate cancer if they live long enough. Very thankful we have the knowledge we have now. Even as the world goes to shit, we should expect to continue to see cancer deaths declining.

  3. Comment

well, he slammed her album that she wrote about her experience battling cancer as “main character syndrome”, so the context really added to it.

  4. Comment

I think our culture has an issue with focusing on any one goal for longer than a news cycle anymore and it's disgusting, especially considering how many people are affected by cancer. Have you seen Don't Look Up? Pretty much if an asteroid *were* hurtling toward us, we would likely be unable to organize and get it together to do anything. Case and point: climate change. We would rather companies keep making money than do anything to stop it.

  5. Comment

The problem with cancer is that every cancer is different, and it’s born from our cell’s necessary ability to divide and change. So it’s really not something that can be *cured* like how we think of other diseases. I think it’s taken very seriously, it’s just a very complicated problem.
