It was a gruesome murder but there shouldn't be death penalties as punishment.

Families of victims do not get to decide punishments. That would be insane and bad for everyone. The death penalty should be abolished and people who gleefully commit horrific crimes should be sentenced to life in prison after a fair trial that proves their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. That's it. That's how it works. The family's responsibility is to go to therapy and grieve and heal.

It is a completely inconsistent position to hold that you are pro killing people who are guilty but you feel differently about the wrongfully convicted. If you’re pro death penalty you are also pro innocent people being murdered for crimes they didn’t commit, because you cannot have one without the other

I’m not necessarily saying it’s cool she’s getting tortured with these failed execution attempts, but I’m not crying over it either. It’s more for the reasons you said I am not sorry about her getting the death penalty. Her victim also got the death penalty while innocent at that, so.
