Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

The 7.25 minimum wage argument is such a BS thing.. Unfortunately it is something the left can stand on an have a "good sounding" issue to champion.. The reality is that only something like 1% of Hourly workers only make 7.25 an hour. The idea that there is a MASSIVE number of people (single working parents in particular) is simply a lie. It sounds great when you are trying to drum up support and donations, but it isn't really a thing. It's like when you actually start comparing gender pay inequality job for job... the pay gap immediately shrinks to like 90 cents on the dollar and less, instead of the 70 they always yell about.

I’m all for easing the minimum wage. But then there needs to be control so the companies don’t just inflate their prices. THATS the issue. Every time pay goes up by 10-15%, everything goes up by 15-20%. Welcome to California and why it keeps getting worse and harder to live here

  3. Comment

To be fair - raising minimum wage does nothing without looking at the real issue which is the decimation of the underlying programs that supplement and support minimum wage workers. Dive deeper and take a square look at how much costs have increased over the last thirty years and it’s not surprising that we’re arguing over minimum wage when we should be arguing over government services and safety nets.

  4. Comment

Not to mention he's in the talks to play Batman for James Gunn DCU, minimum wage is more than that in Gotham City come on government, come on.

  5. Comment

Minimum wage should be strictly tied to the cost of living, such that a 40-hour full-time schedule is enough for a single person to live a basic life. Food, shelter, clothing, the basics. If it's below that amount, something got lost along the way. If a person is working full-time hours, they should be able to survive in whichever area they live.
