Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

You think that England team were capable of keeping possession with Rice, Anderson & Bellingham? 😂

Incoming money can go on the books straight away, outgoing money gets to be spread over the players contract for the purposes of FFP. So in this case - Newcastle get +35, -5 or net +30 million on the books, Forest get +20, -7 or +13 million net. It was silly in this case because clearly Forest didn't have any players they wanted rid of but did want to buy Anderson, so they got rid of someone they didn't care about & Newcastle didn't actually want as an accounting dodge. It's just accounting tricks to avoid being screwed over by FFP

FFP desperation move. Sold Anderson to Forest and Minteh to Brighton to clear it at the last minute. It was that or sell Gordon to Liverpool.

Still think the funniest one of these is when Newcastle sold Anderson to Forest for £35m, and Forest sold Vlachodimos (their third choice keeper) to Newcastle for £20m on the same day in 2024 Anderson ended up then going for a fortune this summer, Vlachodimos made one sub appearance in the league cup and has been at Sevilla on loan since 2025…

The Villa and Chelsea 'swaps' of this year are indicative of people just not really bothering to do any research past what Goldstein and co say on TalkSport. Jackson has been wanted by Emery at Villa for arguably three seasons now. He's the most obvious successor to Watkins in style, but with an arguably higher ceiling. The opinions on him being 'overvalued' are ludicrous, especially when we've just sold a 31yo #9 for $50m. Almost every transfer in this past window has been inflated. Garnacho is more complicated. Even if you ignore the winger market in general, which has been ludicrous for several windows now, our situation was different when we signed Garnacho. Alysson had proven last season he couldn't stay fit, Hemmings still looked a year off it and the Mbaye talks had gone silent. Unfortunately for Garnacho, he sustained a concussion injury in preseason that kept him out for nearly 3 weeks, Hemmings came in and looked a superb talent. Alysson also managed to stay fit for nearly two months and scored our first league goal. What do people expect Emery to do, drop in form players to get minutes into an unfit Garnacho? Context matters in a window. The Rogers valuation again is subjective, but to me it's completely justified. Even after you factor in our initial transfer fee to boro, the sell on clause and what it would cost us to replace him, you're still left with one of the hottest attacking prospects in English football. He's uniquely built, strong, fast, a brilliant ball carrier and a proven goal scorer at the highest level. He's also NEVER injured. What do people expect players like that to go for? Vidagany stated publicly at several points what the club valued him at. Anderson going set the precedent, he said we'd want more, we got it. It's kind of as simple as that.
