Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

A one-size-fits-all salary cap only helps in a closed-shop system where all participants are assumed equal. But in the Prem there are always at least three teams that are not on the level of the strongest clubs; too high a salary cap and you might as well not have one at all, too low a salary cap and the top talent all go to La Liga instead. To my understanding FFP/PSR is effectively a floating salary cap indexed to each club's scale. Yes, it benefits larger clubs, but it also stops smaller clubs from sending themselves to the edge of implosion trying to outspend the big players. More could be done to level the playing field, but PSR or salary caps are not the tool intended to do it. In my opinion the EPL needs to instead examine how league revenue is divvied up between clubs, as a start.

Big EPL clubs: We have decided to join European Super League so we can compete with clubs at similar financial levels. EPL fans: Greed! Corruption! Insert conspiracy theory. Big clubs: Okay, nvm. We'll stay in the EPL. Also, EPL fans: FFP is rigged! Monopoly! But you can't leave!

I’m praying the punishment fits the crime and is applied promptly. The hearing is finished, the issue is decided, they breached rules 114 times over more than a decade. They were obstructive and still don’t acknowledge or apologise. Throw the book at them. Too rotten for the PL or the EPL. Even in the National League they stink. £1billion fine minimum. 30 points deduction every season for the time they cheated, minimum 10 years. Transfer restrictions, spending restrictions and owners disqualified from fitness to own. And should be gone by Christmas.

Yeah I totally understand where you’re coming from. Not all fans are the same. I hope we get the book thrown at us and new owners. I place a level of blame on the EPL for allowing this to happen in the first place. No sovereign state should be allowed to own a football club.

    > would likely go in at the expense of side who otherwise would've been in league 2. They shouldn't relegate them normally. They should expel them, so four teams get relegated from the EPL this season. Then every league below can promote one more and that resolves this issue.
