Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Counter point is that before the financial rules, it was still a closed shop and those who did try and spend ended up in some perilous financial position. Lots of clubs have made the push and to try and sustain it but it often falls short because their is far too many short term losses. Leeds, Pompey, Bolton, Bradford, Wimbledon, Wigan, Blackburn, Derby are examples. All these clubs spent above their means and one season of bad performances then look what happens. You forgot the financial trouble Everton was in before the new owners? Or what happened at Villa previously? Sure you can say it's their to protect rich clubs but the rich clubs are not the ones having issues if they don't make Europe one season... The only rich club it's effected is Newcastle because their Saudi owners cant pull a city.... But even then you look now at how PIF are pulling out of all their sporting investments

No, bad on them… keep up Were you this bothered when Everton and others were docked points? How about every club that goes into administration and gets a points deduction which can further put them in trouble? The rules are the rules, it doesn’t matter if you agree or not but all clubs are part of the decision making that makes them and are tied by them.

  3. Comment

If that were the case, it likely would have been Villa or Everton getting the buy out. Your owners were looking for growth potential.

I know I couldn’t convince you so I usually wouldn’t even try, but since you clearly put some time into that, I’ll give you some grace. Everton and Forrest were punished for a black and white breach of PSR. Their books showed X when they were supposed to show Y. End of. Now, you may argue that failure to provide data and cooperate may suggest guilt, but that doesn’t prove anything. Your guess is as good as mine here. The “City are found guilty of everything but 1 charge” sentiment sounds cool for tiktok and youtube, but it’s not accurate. They are found not guilty not for one count, but for one group of charges, the biggest one - the 55 account of failure to provide information. Yes, they’ll probably end up paying a fine for not cooperating. Probably will get some points docked for breaching PSR, like Everton were, that will get them out of the title or even top 5 for a season. Maybe even a transfer ban for a year for the FFP counts. But anyone who is hoping for more than that will be very, very unpleasantly surprised. Stop educating yourselves from news headlines.

Yes. Failure to provide accurate and up to date accounts 54 counts, failure to provide accurate and up to date accounts for compensation for players and managers 14 counts, failure to comply with UEFA FFP 5 counts and failure to comply with Premier League Profit and Sustainability 7 counts, and lastly and probably most importantly, failure to co-operate with the investigation 35 counts. It doesn’t matter whether you think the rules are crap, even though they are, but all participants signed up to compete under the same rules. Everyone else did, and the two that broke them, Forrest and Everton, put their hands up and said come and have a look at the books, this is what we did and why? Chelsea are also big offenders, and much as it pains me because I hated them under Jose, no class, but both times they put their hands up, admitted it, reported themselves and said come and have a look. All three took their punishment and moved on without complaining. City refused to let investigators in and shredded documents. If Liverpool had breached the rules and bought one more top class player, they could well have won the two leagues that they lost by one point. On top of all of the 114 charges against City, bringing the game in to disrepute can be added. They have destroyed the integrity of the game and it will take decades before the Premier League can ever get it back. The accountants and lawyers either are incompetent and should be sacked or egged on by the owner just stuck two fingers up to the rest of the other 91 clubs. The phrase, “All that money and you still can’t buy any class” has never been so appropriate.
