Yeah. Just doesn't mean a whole lot when he hasn't even made an appearance in a friendly since 2024. They've had 4 different keepers get in during their last 4 matches. even made a sub in one of them. He didn't get in. That's like me refusing to present to my CEO because I think he's a dick. Everyone would be like "uh ok. We weren't going to let you present to him anyway." Good for him for taking a stand I guess. But it's really hard for it to carry weight when he was never going to play anyway.

I’m not speaking for one player . So not sure why you bringing Palmer or kane up. There are players who will go but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel frustration. It also doesn’t change the point of anything I’ve said . These men are risking their entire careers for glorified friendlies that are nothing but money grabs for UEFA. There is zero reason to have two international competitions in one year in addition to their domestic club tourneys and championship league . Nations league was only started in 2018. It’s not some long standing international competition . It’s a fairly recent thing and one of its main purposes was to bring in more revenue . That literally came from UEFA Itself that was one of the goals.

It's just friendlies but with a trophy tacked on at the end, like a pre-season tournament. And it's only European teams. I'd rather have friendlies with sides like Brazil or Japan.

I half thought this when the tournament launched but when you have players withdrawing from the squad because they clearly cant be arsed, it might as well be friendlies
