Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Once again, meanwhile for a year now we have been negotiating to try and get Jack on a permanent, but despite all parties wanting it, it's not going to happen because we can't afford anywhere near what City want (Which is completely fine, it's a business, they aren't a charity) And we can't come anywhere close to paying Grealish his current wage of 300 grand a week! (Our highest earner is Pickford on 150)

  2. Comment

Madrid are always the outliers, they signed Rodrygo and Vinicius for a combined 80 mil. Then splash 100 or so on Diomande (not worth it). Different league though. As for the PL, Rogers is never worth 100 but Villa are good sellers, like with the Grealish deal. Tonali and Fernandes were "we're so desperate we'll pay whatever you want" signings. Paying 90+ mil for a player with a handful of decent WC appearances and 2 seasons at Lille is absolutely ridiculous on toast.

I believe if you look closely enough it’s easy to see that Grealish had a drinking problem. Especially evident at City.

I've seen it a few times in the premier league, when a club get a talented youth player, often home grown english youngster they throw him in and give them a free role with no tracking back to make them appear like a sort of Messi archetype. (media will dub them the new Gazza.) Then the club sell for big money. Villa did it wil Grealish and rogers, Palace done it a few times, Zaha, Eze and the strangest one Conner Gallagher, played 10 at palace had a free role, shots in the top corner, mad skills, goals/assists... now look at him, just runs around kicking people!

  5. Comment

Villa nearly went down when Grealish left. Thats speaks volumes on how crucial he was for them. Their tactics were give it to Grealish. They needed 3 players to replace him, 4 when they realised the first 3 were garbage and went out and got Couthinio, 2 managers lost their jobs Smith and Gerrard. I iimagine if they'd known the mess selling him would cause they would have asked $150. At the Euros the fans were singing super jack even when he was on the bench southgate had to chuck him on. So all this combined ramped up the price but Pep wanted him and activated the release clause which Villa had only agreed to put in because they thought no one would ever pay it 😂
