What do we expect when slot had the players just walking around the pitch passing the ball along the back line, we went from one of the top pressing teams in the league under klopp to being outrun by most of the league last year it was fucking hard to watch.

Are spurs really struggling though? They’ve been in Europe for 17 of the last 20 seasons. Yes they were poor last year but he won a minor European trophy the year before that. And they’re showing ambition in their signings. Also VDV is good but he’s not a world beater. He can only defend well on teams who have the ball and play a high line. He’s pretty poor 1v1 and offers nothing aerially. I don’t think there were big step up contracts out there for him.

All of them? And of course last year when Jota died two days before pre season that had no affect whatsoever.

They don’t have an attack. You say they had a great defence last year they were abysmal. Exciting new signing is all well and good but if the basics aren’t don’t it don’t matter. They lost their identity in midfield with Tonali & Bruno so now a part of their physicality is gone.
