Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I can try to explain. PL had been dominated by a Manchester club since football was invented in 1993. Somewhere between 2011 and 2014 it changed from Manchester United and Manchester City. United not being good since Ferguson left was part of my post.

Before FFP was conveniently introduced to protect the established elite, every single “historic” giant bought their way to the top. Manchester United broke transfer records for decades to dominate. Arsenal is literally historically known as the “Bank of England” club because they aggressively outspent everyone. Chelsea used its billionaire wealth to change their club overnight. Why is it only “unearned” when a new challenger does it? You claim City was just a random box ticking exercise is ridiculous. Every major corporate acquisition looks for infrastructure like a stadium and market potential. That's just standard business logic, not a conspiracy. The Abu Dhabi United Group bought a club with a deeply loyal and massive local fanbase that stuck with them even in the third tier. That is special. “Ruined from Top to Bottom” is complete nonsense. The owners invested heavily in Manchester, building world class community facilities, regenerating a deprived area, and establishing one of the best youth academies and women's teams in the world. No one is brainwashed. We just see through the hypocrisy of established giants who want a closed shop monopoly where only their billionaire spending is deemed “legitimate". Ever billionaire is sports washing and if we want to focus on countries, England is the OG sports washer in history.

Why? I’m an Arsenal fan and if this happened to Arsenal, Tottenham fans would be celebrating and vice versa. I bet you other Man Utd fans don’t feel the same way you do. I will say though, nice to see a Manchester United fan from Manchester and not a southerner

This is pretty normal during organizational takeovers where the business has been bleeding money due to mismanagement. It’s sad for the employees but it was clearly needed to get Manchester United to stop being in the red
