   I’m praying the punishment fits the crime and is applied promptly. The hearing is finished, the issue is decided, they breached rules 114 times over more than a decade. They were obstructive and still don’t acknowledge or apologise. Throw the book at them. Too rotten for the PL or the EPL. Even in the National League they stink. £1billion fine minimum. 30 points deduction every season for the time they cheated, minimum 10 years. Transfer restrictions, spending restrictions and owners disqualified from fitness to own. And should be gone by Christmas.

   There is no denying it works, look at their success, they've won a treble. Look at the success of other teams who did/are doing it - Chelsea/PSG. Its financial doping, and should be punished in the same manner as if City were using PEDS. I'd agrue that its worse than national league match fixing as an advantage is gained in all competitions.

   I don’t agree with any of this beyond that the memories can never be taken away. I’m upset at the club for doing all this and then having such brazen confidence that innocence would be proven and then we get 114 guilty counts lol. It just seems such an absurd thing to do to mislead fans so much. I’d rather have had a “no comment for legal reasons” comment. Other fans might say I’m selling out for internet points but I genuinely despise cheating in sports. It’s the same reason I hate the Astros with a passion. But I was 10 when I started watching the club and I’ll not abandon them over this whether we get banished to the national league or not. I watch for the players not for the sporting director.

   One City Fan's Perspective - I have thoroughly enjoyed riling up opposing fans over the last couple of days, many of whom seem aghast that I'm not kneeling at their feet begging for forgiveness for the alleged guilty verdicts. While my personal opinion will likely be lost amid the wash of sensationalism and absurd suggestions for penalties from opposing fans (114 point deduction? Please.) I feel it might provide some level of insight, with the glaring caveat that I speak only for myself, and not for City supporters as a whole. From the deepest reaches of my soul, I genuinely could not care less about the current situation, for several reasons: \- the sanctimonious hatred from opposing clubs, pundits, journalists etc. Is completely meaningless at this stage, my understanding is that the news of the guilty verdict was an unauthorised leak, with the process yet to be complete. I don't see any reason to flap until all is confirmed (post-any-appeal activity). \- the FA, premier league, FIFA, UEFA - are a wholly corrupt bunch. That we have been able to upset the applecart even slightly is only a good thing in my eyes. \- the last 15 years or so have seen more good times (and dark times - particularly in UCL) than I care to mention. Those memories arent going anywhere, irrespective of how many shouts of 'asterisk', 'null and void' etc. flow through the screen. \- literally none of this is real. Football is a business based on entertainment - the sole purpose of which is to distract us from the boredom and despair of life (while rinsing the working man blind via broadcast rights). I have been entertained. Zero complaints. And finally, and most importantly. \- the world is on fire, pedophiles in power, society effectively circling the drain. Whatever happens, it's been enjoyable, and a fantastic laugh. If we manage to obstruct and challenge enough to receive only a fine/trf ban - I will laugh myself silly at the fume of opposition fans. If the whole thing turns to ash - memories of fantastic times will remain. I'll enjoy watching my club in the far reaches of the national league. Edit - forgot to close a bracket. On phone.
