   Yeah left Slot with a massively unbalanced squad, same issue Iraola is facing now. Hopefully he’ll at least get a 6 to fix those issues at least partially. Also really need a right back. Bradley injured most of the time and Frimpong is more of a wingback, poor signing that doesn’t fit the team. Not like Slot loved playing Szoboszlai at right back and Wirtz from the left, lol. Didn’t replace Trent, didn’t replace Luis Diaz and Salah massive drop in performance. Explains most of it. And that’s not even mentioning Jota.

   If you go online, there are a lot of theories including that Liverpool refused to pay him more, likely because they chose to give Salah a bumper contract after his insane 24-5 season. Could you enlighten us all why your theory is gospel and the rest are rubbish, it's likely a combination of reasons but it seems the main issue was feeling underappreciated and underpaid even though he had initially settled well at Liverpool and Merseyside in general.

   That was simply an "excuse". No one really knew exactly what was going on behind the scenes. You say as if it was a bad thing. Yet players like VVD, Salah, Gini, Henderson, Milner, TAA, Roberston, Fabinho, Mane, Firmino, in fact most of our first 11 rarely had injury or fitness issues. The only ones that did were usually our back up or depth. And another important thing to remember that during the early Klopp years we were very fiscally conservative and often looked for value in the transfer market and signed players that often had a history of fitness and injury issues. We had no depth at times. Outside of our front 3 the only back up for years was Origi. For a big club that's not enough. Look at Ox, Shaq, Naby as well. And then Thiago when we signed him. That's where a false narrative took over. It had absolutely nothing to do with Klopp and his training methods. Even guys like Gomez even after Klopp left has had injury issues. If you came and told me that his first 11 struggled with fitness issues, I'd agree with you and say okay Klopp over trained the lads. But even guys like Nunez, Diaz, Jota, etc that came in thrived. So I don't believe for one second we were over trained. If anything I think that quad run took the sails of the entire squad and even Klopp. To come so close and to give everything and to lose out on two trophies in a matter of days, that really hurt the morale. I think that mentally exhausted Klopp as well and then the following season we just fell flat. Our fitness levels were dropping long before the loss of Diego Jota. We couldn't even keep up with PSG in Feb and Newcastle. The excuse back then was "tiredness" yet we had barely pressed or ran much in the first half of the season. That was also after we had changed our pressing game and was being more cautious in our build up. So you can't blame it all on Jota's death. If you go back and look at the results and our play style after the first 6 months you can slowly start seeing Klopp's influence on the squad fading away. I would have agreed with you but you are simply forgetting or seem to ignore that a lot of the issues were already set or had crept in 6-7 months before the loss of Jota.
