   I also forgot my toner mist 🤦🏻‍♀️ I use Magic Molecule post wash, then routine as mentioned. I think pushing back on her recommendation might be the move. I feel like you’re using too many actives and your skin is getting angry! Mandelic face wash, salicylic acid, mandelic serum AND acne med in the morning seems so strong for your sensitive barrier rn. I’m sorry you’re not seeing the results you want. I know how mentally exhausting that is. Try pushing for a simpler, gentle routine. At least until your skin barrier heals. 🫶🏼 if they’re not open to hearing what you need, another aesthetician will!

   I had skin very similar yours and with the combination of my acne bootcamp peels and face reality products, I saw great results. That being said, I have been really disappointed in face reality as of lately :( My regime per my aesthetician during the worst of my flare ups were (all FR unless otherwise noted!): \- morning: ultra gentle cleanser, 8% mandelic acid, hydraBalance gel, glymed comfort cream, colorescience daily SPF \- night: ultra gentle cleanser, hydrabalance, acne med (started at 2.5%, went up to 5%, now back to 2.5% for maintenance) We kept the routine super simple and avoided anything too strong bc my face would flare up waaay worse when I introduced them. I also ice rolled morning and night. Whenever breakouts were getting really angry, ice rolled immediately. I would also spot treat with FR sulfur spot treatment

   pls stop using something if it isn’t agreeing with your skin. Even if your aesthetician is saying to stick it out, I don’t agree with that. I’d stop everything and start from scratch. Especially stop Niacinamide

   Stick with the Manyo and Kiehl’s if that feels better. For dry eczema prone skin I would drop anything that makes your skin uncomfortable like this, your aesthetician sounds like they’re more interested in selling you product than helping your skin

   [Routine Help] am I supposed to feel dryness after moisturizing? - I have dry, sensitive, eczema-prime skin. I am using a cleanser recommended by my aesthetician which is the Resurfix Antioxidant Soothing Cleanser and Resurfix Antioxidant Moisturizing Lotion. I went to Kaiser. I use the cleanser and then I use the moisturizer on damp skin. My face feels uncomfortably dry a few minutes after using the moisturizer. Every time I open my mouth, my cheeks feel dry. I had used the Manyo Pure Soybean Cleansing Milk and the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Daily Moisturizer and I do feel a little dryness after the moisturizer sets, but it was not this bad as with the Resurfix. My aesthetician told me that this dryness is normal and it’s the skin absorbing the moisturizer. Should I be concerned and switch out cleansers or is this normal?
