Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I am not a doctor, I don’t want to give you any type of medical advice. I just want to share that I had similar symptoms and what did and did not work for me. I am now 47 and I have had varying degrees of acne for almost all of my life since I was 11. Some time/years were slightly better but even in perimenopause I still break out. Dispite regular washing and balanced cleansing I also have bumps in my ears, nose and hairline sometimes and on my cheeks, jaw and forehead regularly. I tried oral and topical treatments. Truly I have done everything I possibly could but nothing has ever really worked long term. Over the years at different times I have tried benzoyl peroxide and doxy and tret and and azalic acid and birth control and nimacides and differin and antifungals and everything else that I could think of and was ever available to me through three different dermatologists or OTC. Some things worked better but nothing ever fully got rid of my acne. I resigned myself to just living with it. A year ago I read about some women with PCOS having success with hormonal acne by taking spearmint leaf capsules. I decided to try it. I started taking 2000 mg twice a day and after a few weeks my stupid acne finally cleared up for the first time in my whole entire life! My understanding is that spearmint leaf can block androgens and in my case that seems to have been the main cause of my acne. I can not swear to you that this will help you but I remember what it felt like when I was trying to make my skin clear up before my own wedding and I totally understand. I now only occasionally have a small pimple or breakout if I either forget a few doses or it is very close to my period. I am in no way saying that this will be the answer for you but I am sharing this because I am still so frustrated by how many years I spent feeling sensitive about my skin and it being a problem for me and finding out now that I am closing in on 50 that a not brand specific OTC product actually could have helped me a lot years ago. I hope now it possibly helps someone else too.

When I was a teenager I read something about using a toothbrush and toothpaste for clogged pores and I think my skin still hasn't recovered. Also oil cleansing and not cleansing that off while on vacation in mexico with no sunscreen resulting in a layer of crust on my nose and ears.

[Routine Help] i don’t know what im doing wrong in my skincare routine but its not solving the breakouts - i don’t know what i’m doing wrong please help me hey everyone, i’m (20f) relatively new to skincare and i’ve recently saved up on a few products and created a basic skincare routine but i’ve still got acne/breakouts on the side of my face and cheeks and i’d like some feedback on where i’m going wrong. in order here are the products i use: 1. Cerave Salicylic Acid Cleanser 2. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion very dry to normal skin 3. Bondi Sands Sunscreen lotion spf 50+ 4. Regular Vaseline (as lip balm) this is my morning and night routine (minus the sunscreen at night). I’m not sure if these products are compatible with my skin or if my application is wrong, and i’m open to replacing them as long as it’s mindful of cost and over consumption. I definitely find my sunscreen super greasy and not light weight at all so if there’s an affordable light weight alternative please let me know. i feel like there’s some additional context that would be helpful here (these might be frustrating to read but pls bear with me): 1. i do occasionally get my face waxed - this is the definitely source of my breakouts, i never suffered from crazy acne before i started waxing, but i don’t want to give up on waxing since my face is super hairy and waxing has genuinely slowed the hair growth on my face (plus i prefer to get the hair out by the root rather than derma-plane). if anyone knows how to prevent these breakouts post-wax that would be super helpful too 2. I’m really not sure what type of skin type i have. it can sometimes be dry in the winter, but produces oils especially near my ears and nose, so I’m assuming it’s combo skin? or maybe it’s just normal skin. i really don’t know 😭 3. Pillow cases: I do wash these every week but I’m seriously wondering if the material (polyester and cotton) is just a breeding ground for bacteria and if i should just invest in silk/satin pillow cases instead since i’ve heard good reviews (i sleep on my side) 4. Double cleansing and Makeup/Sunscreen: i did mention that the sunscreen i use is pretty greasy but i also have a sneaking suspicion it may be clogging my pores? i heard double cleansing is important to prevent sunscreen/makeup from doing that so pls suggest if i should do that so sorry that this is super long but i would be so grateful if anyone could help me 🥹 thank you in advance!!

I can't watch her videos...her voice is grating on the ears and she's condescending.

Agreed! Sometimes Dr. Stephen’s voice is also a little graining on the ears but I appreciate a brown/black doctor who is well-informed and a good representative. Plus she’s beautiful so very easy on the eyes.
