Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I don’t feel any burning etc after a month now. But it’s also slowly healing without using any acid.

[Routine Help] 1 month post barrier damage PIE - 3 Months ago i started to work in a really stresfull job, remote, dirty water, 4-5 hours of sleep, different climate, drinking only 1.5 liters water daily , high cortisol etc. That really affected my face and started to cause me these red little marks called PIE i guess. I was happy with my face and didn't have any of those before starting there. Now it's been a month that i quit. I bought azelaic acid as i was still working there but didn't use it because my skin barrier was damaged, my face was burning when i was applying cerave moisturizer. So i wanted to keep it simple, only moisturizer, cleanser and sunscreen. Now i've been doing that routine for a month and i think there's an improvement by looking at the pictures, i don't know if i should start using that azelaic or keep going simple and wait for them to fade away naturally. I need your help. Thanks

Chemical peels can genuinely help with PIH like this, especially the deeper glycolic/TCA ones a derm does in office vs the OTC stuff. I had similar dark patches on my inner thighs years ago and a series of 3-4 glycolic peels spaced a month apart made a real difference, way more than any cream alone. Just know it's gradual, you're looking at months not weeks, and consistent SPF on those areas after is non negotiable or you'll just re-pigment. Azelaic acid morning and night in between sessions helped speed things up for me too, it's gentle enough for body use and won't interact badly with the peels.

I’m in California and it took like a month but I finally got it!

Do not use Azeleic acid. I was in the very same position as you and it destroyed my skin and gave me severe breakouts on a level I've never seen before. Deep, painful, and scarring lasting for months. Stay away. What works for me is a sunscreen with 5% nicinamide, amber/green led light masks, Cerave Vitamin C moisturizer, and Cerave exfoliatiing vitamin C cleanser. All of these work together really well! But even if a few don't, you only need one to do it's job and you'll be good.
