Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Four months of this with no real answer is genuinely exhausting so I get the frustration completely. Doxycycline plus tretinoin is actually a reasonable combo though and it's worth remembering oral antibiotics can take a full 8-12 weeks to show real results, so 7-8 weeks in you might still be right at the edge of when it should start turning a corner. The red smooth spots around the mouth could def be perioral dermatitis rather than classic acne, that reacts badly to tretinoin and heavy creams and actually needs a totally different treatment, so it's worth flagging that specific pattern to your derm at the next check in rather than waiting the full five weeks. Simplifying everything else on your routine in the meantime, no other actives, gentle cleanser only, can help either way.

[routine help] Please help, it used to be like the second photo, but then stuff around the mouth happened and it’s been there for 4 months. (15m) - Hi, first photo is from July 10th, the second is from April 30th, and the rest are from September 20th. In early June, my mouth started to breakout and just hasn’t gone away. It’s been persistent for four months and I’m so so tired of it. Literally nothing is helping. Anyways, I went to a dermatologist about 3 weeks after it started and they prescribed me amoxicillin oral pills twice a day and Differin 0.1% Adapalene Gel about three times a week. I used this treatment for about two months without any results. Then, after I felt it wasn’t working, I switched to a new dermatologist and they prescribed me oral doxycycline pills once a day and topical tretinoin 0.025% cream once a night. I’ve been doing that for about 7-8 weeks by now. If anything it’s gotten worse. The dermatologist said she’d expect about 70-80% clearness by the time she checks back in with me (in about 5 weeks). There has just been so many pimples and idk what all around my mouth and lower face area. The stuff that has really stuck is these red spots thatre around my mouth (circled in the last photo) that feel smooth to the touch, like there’s nothing there. I’m not sure what I have, I was thinking it could be PIE or perioral dermatitis. If it is pie or pih just tell me how to get rid of it asap. I switched to sls free toothpaste about a week ago. Anyway, I’m just extremely desperate and not sure whether to trust the dermatologist when’s there’s been absolutely zero improvement or to stop all acne treatment together. Please please please help, I’m so desperate, I actually hate how it looks. Thank you, and if you need any more info just ask and I can provide.

[acne] routine advice appreciated! - Hey all, I would appreciate some ideas/suggestions with what I’m doing for my skin. I was prescribed a combination adapalene/benzoyl peroxide cream for my skin about a month ago, and unfortunately it’s given me some very dry/inflamed skin around my mouth. I’m waiting for a derm appointment, and until then have continued to use a small amount of the cream every other night, over a thin layer of moisturizer, and avoid applying it near my mouth at all. I’ve struggled with acne for over a decade (I’m 25) and was using Tretinoin consistently for about two years while I lived in the US. I saw some improvement but still struggled with hormonal acne on my chin and the sides of my face. I live in Denmark now and Tretinoin is not available. A particular area of concern is the left side of my face, near my chin (the first photo). This area really flared up at the beginning of the summer during a period of intense stress and has not calmed down since. As you can see in the photos, I have a lot of acne scarring, and some kind of micro needling treatment is eventually the goal for me. But I’m looking for suggestions of how to help with this in the meantime. My current routine is: AM \- use washcloth with warm water on face \- La Roche-Posay Effaclar H Iso-Biome cream (recommended to me after adapalene/benzoyl peroxide usage by pharmacist) \- CeraVe moisturizing cream \- beauty of Joseon relief sun rice+probiotics PM \-oil cleanse with Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Cleansing oil \- wash with dermalogica ultra calming cleanser \- every other night apply a pea-sized amount of adapalene/benzoyl peroxide usage over a thin layer of cerave \- after 30 min another layer of cerave moisturizer \- if I’m feeling really dry I use some La Roche-Posay Cicalast Any help is appreciated! Thank you :)

[acne] persistent spots under mouth - I’ve had persistent acne here for over 10 years. I’ve tried sls free toothpaste and topical antifungal cream and neither seems to have worked. Has anyone had similar and has any advice on what I can do?
