Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Please help me figure out whats going on with my skin [Acne] - I have acne prone skin but usually i only have about 1-3 active pimples, and suddenly i have way more than that. Im getting all of these tiny pimples all over my face, and in spots i usually dont get them in too. I think it might be because i tried using a retinol for a few days? Ive seen some people say it makes them get acne. Please let me know what you think it is or what i should do My skincare routine: \-trader joes jojoba oil to remove makeup \-cetaphils daily facial cleanser \-castor oil at night (ik this doesnt break me out for a fact) \-cetaphils spf 50 facial moisturizer in day I also used marula oil twice this week so maybe thats it? Also from trader joes.

The cleanser you selected will be fine, it will work for your oily skin type, but a gel cleanser that contains salicylic acid will be more effective for the oil and acne. IMO I think you should use the LRP salicylic acid cleanser. The moisturizer is great. You can use it day and night if you want, but personally I have oily/acne prone skin as well, and I find that sunscreen alone is enough for me in the morning. But you can certainly use moisturizer and sunscreen if you want to. But definitely always use the moisturizer at night. I’ve not used the sunscreen you selected, but it seems like a lightweight variety for oily skin and is SPF30, so that’s great. The only other thing I would suggest for your routine is a retinoid to use at night after cleaning, before moisturizing. A retinoid will help reduce acne, smooth the skin, even skin tone, reduce redness or dark spots from past acne marks, etc. if you’re in the US, I suggest Differin gel OTC. If outside the us ROC retinol is great. Start every other night and work up to using it nightly.

I am so sorry you’re struggling. This looks uncomfortable. I would try a different derm if you don’t feel great about the one you have. I agree, I think this might be fungal. would maybe stop a lot of the products to make sure they aren’t irritating you. I would also try alternating between a ketoconzale facewash (the shampoo can be used on your face) and something very gentle for facewashing. I would use vanicream with some glycerin added to keep the moisture in and add some zinc cream to the most irritated areas overnight. Once your skin barrier heals and feels better, maybe then you can start using a retinol. Good luck!

[Acne] Is this from the retina-a/arazlo? - I started to gradually build my retin-a or arazlo usage from every 3 or so days to every other to every day to help my persistent acne. I have no dryness or redness. BUT my acne is 10x worse, my self esteem is terrible and I am waking up with swollen eyelids. No new products. No retinol product is going on or near my eyes. I haven’t had clear skin since my pregnancy. I am so upset. What can I do? Worth continuing the retinol? Why are my eyes (or, I should say around my eyes) swollen every morning? Will I ever stop purging?

So this was my face pretty much forever. Everything made it worse , tret (all retinols), most acne medications, any active ingredients, etc. My derm kept throwing stuff at me since it did clear up with antibiotics and creams meant for perioral derm. But it kept coming back. Id get the same small pimples that really just had that yellow liquid. I had an allergy test and started cutting stuff out of my skincare routine and it’s been clear since. I avoid lanolin (wool oil), fragrance/essential oils, mint, SLS, and some other things that you’re probably not allergic to lol. Now what you have could be rosacea too but this type of reaction could be from your skin being irritated by a certain product or ingredient. I’d try to cut everything back to super simple products. Think gel moisturizers with barely any ingredients. I’d also avoid spf on those areas for now and maybe occlusives (like shea butters) for now. Then slowly add stuff back If this does heal, maybe think about getting an allergy patch test? They test your skin and you’ll see what gives your skin reactions
