Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. [Routine help] Need Recommendations for Cruelty-free Daily Face Moisturizers with SPF for Perimenopausal Skin - I am brand new to all this but am 44 1/2 and the past few weeks have been absolute hell for me. It started as severe vaginal itching a few years ago which NO ONE could explain. Clobetasol is the only thing that helps with that. Two years ago, the hellish body itching that had me tearing at my skin, started in the winter, so bad that I went and ordered Gold Bond Medicated Itch cream. It smells awful but did the trick for the most part. Now this year it's happening mid-summer. And the night sweats are just... 😭 And then when I sweat, it makes my body itch and I would be up for an hour, in the middle of the night scratching endlessly with my little back scratcher and my chest, my c-section scar, everything. I would only be able to fall back to sleep when everything hurt. I started looking at Reddit and, on high recommendation, ordered a tub of Cerave and have been using it twice a day. Now I'm also looking for something to use on my face because I've never been a makeup wearer and hate how my face is aging! I've always looked young for my age but my skin is oily on my face and dry everywhere else... like WHAT?!? (TL:DR) Perimenopause sucks, I need a daily face moisturizer and am looking for a cruelty-free one which seems to make things even harder. I need one with SPF for daytime and no SPF for at night. I found e.l.f. holy hydration! Is that the best one or are there others you ladies recommend? Also, do I need to start using daily cleansers and/or tretinoin? The more I read the more confused I get. This is all super new to me and I can count on both hands the number of times I have worn makeup in my life. So I really am at a loss. Any help would be super appreciated!! Thank you in advance!! 🙏❤️

Start 2 nights a week after cleansing , then moisturize increase slowly if your sensitive skin tolerates it, and use SPF daily.

So this was my face pretty much forever. Everything made it worse , tret (all retinols), most acne medications, any active ingredients, etc. My derm kept throwing stuff at me since it did clear up with antibiotics and creams meant for perioral derm. But it kept coming back. Id get the same small pimples that really just had that yellow liquid. I had an allergy test and started cutting stuff out of my skincare routine and it’s been clear since. I avoid lanolin (wool oil), fragrance/essential oils, mint, SLS, and some other things that you’re probably not allergic to lol. Now what you have could be rosacea too but this type of reaction could be from your skin being irritated by a certain product or ingredient. I’d try to cut everything back to super simple products. Think gel moisturizers with barely any ingredients. I’d also avoid spf on those areas for now and maybe occlusives (like shea butters) for now. Then slowly add stuff back If this does heal, maybe think about getting an allergy patch test? They test your skin and you’ll see what gives your skin reactions

10% BP is strong, don't use it daily all over. Use it only on active areas. Use a gentle cleanser for the rest and yes moisturizer and SPF after BP dries you out

I suggest tweaking your routine as such: * AM; water rinse, SJ emulsion, SPF * PM: cleanser, SJ emulsion, wait 30 minutes pea size tretinoin 3x a week When skin feel extra sensitive, it can slow down the effectiveness of tret and instead cause irritation breakouts. Once the irritation is gone, increase to 2 nights tret / 1 night rest. Then 3 nights tret / 1 night rest, then every night. Once your skin is used to this, you can apply tret before the SJ emulsion.
